Andrew Aston: Winner of the Contract Catering Chef Award

Andrew Aston from Restaurant Associates won the Contract Catering Chef Award at this year's annual Craft Guild of Chefs' Awards held on the 16th June.

Andrew Aston gained early experience of hotel banqueting at the Four Seasons with Ralph Porciani and honed his pastry skills at the Civil Aviation Authority.

In 1998 he became head chef at GEC Marconi in Rochester, before joining Compass at the newly opened Millennium Dome.

He moved to Goldman Sachs in 2000 with the newly formed Restaurant Associates (RA). In addition to his current role as group chef, in which he leads culinary innovation across the RA dining sector, he is also involved with developing young talent, working with the Junior Chefs Academy and education charity Springboard.
