Hospitality

FutureChef

FutureChef is a nationwide cooking competition targeted at 12-16 year olds. The competition benefits from industry sponsorship and is supported by a host of established and ‘celebrity’ chefs.

FutureChef aims to encourage young people into the diverse world of professional cooking by capturing an imagination, recognising talent and providing a potential platform in which to launch a career.

Prominent Chefs in the industry, some of whom are household names such as Brian Turner, James Martin, Gary Rhodes, Anton Mosimann Tony Tobin and Cyrus Todiwala are involved in the competition and provide valuable insights into what it takes for young people to succeed as a chef today.

FutureChef is organised by the Springboard Charitable Trust and gives students a valuable insight into the hospitality industry, alongside gaining food knowledge, experience in preparation and cooking skills and budgeting know-how.

The competition opens the doors to the world of cooking and is recognised and supported by industry companies and organisations as a valuable tool in encouraging youngsters to learn a life skill, with the additional incentive of opening participants eyes to the career options available to them in this sector.
