Brakes employees embark on charity ride

Three employees of Brakes have raised thousands of pounds for charity with a little help from lift truck manufacturer Yale.

Staff from Brakes rode 152 miles from Whitehaven to Sunderland sporting kits sponsored by Yale Europe.

Their challenge raised £3,400 for three charities - Operation Smile, Halton Haven (local hospice) and Cancer Research UK.

Richard Czepukojc, Yale Europe's marketing communications executive, said of the challenge: "Brakes UK has been a key Yale customer for many years and we were delighted to help support their charity ride."
