Britain’s top gastropubs and recipes in one

Diana Henry

Diana Henry, food columnist for the Sunday Telegraph magazine, is launching her new Gastropub Cookbook – Another Helping in October which will present over 100 new recipes from Britain’s top dining pubs.

Priced at £20.00 each, the book will also include an additional guide to some of the country's newest and best pubs, giving expert guidelines on successful eating-out around Britain.

The cookbook will be divided into regions with recipes such as Beer Braised Oxtail with a Deep Fried Oyster and Yorkshire Rhubarb Trifle with Rum Soaked Parkin found in the Pipe and Glass in Yorkshire section, as well as the Carpaccio of Hereford Beef and Free Range Chicken, Ham and Leek Pie in the The Hardwick in Wales listing.

In addition, the book will feature pubs which now grow their own produce, make their own bread, rear their own animals and source from small local producers.

Diana Henry, who regularly appears on television, was awarded Cookery Journalist of the Year by The Guild of Food Writers in 2007.
