DBC appoints four new directors

DBC Foodservice has appointed four new directors to its team.

Michael Barrett has joined as sales and marketing director with effect from Monday 21st September and joins DBC from Crown Crest, meanwhile Sue Cronin-Jones arrived as buying director on Monday 21st September from Somerfield, where she held the position of buying director.

In addition to these appointments, DBC's new commercial structure sees Richard Burke taking up the role of trading director and Paul Wilkinson appointed as head of contract distribution.

DBC's sales in contract distribution have increased significantly over the past few years, and Wilkinson's appointment will expand the team and give the sector additional resources. Wilkinson was previously a director of contract distribution within the foodservice sector, and has direct experience of DBC's business after working on a consultancy basis over the past two years.

Chris Horne, managing director, commented on the changes: "We have undertaken a strategic review and in order to maximise the considerable business opportunities, we have made the decision to separate the commercial team into three sectors to ensure all aspects receive additional focus and the attention that they deserve."
