Eurobuns gets a new name

One of the frozen bread sector's most well-known names will disappear at the start of 2009 when Eurobuns adopts the identity of its new parent company, to become Lantmännen Unibake UK Ltd.

Everything else will remain the same, with the same workforce producing the full range of frozen breads from the same modern premises in Milton Keynes.

Nor will there be any changes to the recipes or specifications of any of the company's products, which include burger buns, hot dog rolls and pre-sliced baguettes.

Sales and marketing director Martin Jones said: "Among our customers large and small, the name Eurobuns has come to stand for consistent high quality, time after time, and that reliability will continue under our new name. Just as importantly, with the resources of one of Europe's leading independent frozen bread suppliers behind us, we have exciting plans for how to take this company forward, entering fresh market sectors and developing the new ideas for which this company is renowned."
