The Print Room to host Hotel and Catering Show dinner

A line-up of top chefs, restaurateurs and hoteliers are set to attend this year's Show Dinner Party as part of the Hotel and Catering Show, which is set to take place on next week at Bournemouth's award-winning restaurant, The Print Room.

Top chefs in attendance this year include Ed Baines, a well-known chef regularly appearing on the BBC daytime series Step Up to the Plate as well as BBC1's Saturday Kitchen, Sophie Wright, who at the age of 22 has released her first cook book, Dale Osborne, head chef at the St.Alban Restaurant in London, as well as the accalimed Cyrus Todiwala MBE.

The annual event, in association with the Wessex Salon Culinaire, the Craft Guild of Chefs and The Bournemouth and Poole College, attracts guests from across the hospitality, catering, leisure and tourism industries and is due to feature a charity auction in aid of Hospitality Action.

Designed by The Print Room's head chef, Simon Trepess, the menu will feature the best local produce. Simon will be supported in the kitchen by his AA Rosette award-winning team and the whole operation will be overseen by Paul Fudge, general manager at The Print Room.

The Show Dinner Party also marks the award ceremony for this year's Wessex Salon Culinaire.

Chloe Parmiter, events manager at The Print Room, says: "We're delighted that the south coast's largest hospitality event selected The Print Room to host this prestigious dinner in aid of Hospitality Action. Dorset produces some of the UK's best fish, meat and vegetables and local produce will be at the top of the menu."

Angela Cox, faculty director for Service Industries at The Bournemouth and Poole College, adds: "On top of sponsoring the Cookery Theatre at the Hotel and Catering Show, students from The College will help the team at The Print Room to deliver an exceptional evening at the Show's Dinner Party. There will be 19 2nd year students from the Diploma in Professional Catering course involved in the dinner. Four will assist in the kitchen under the direction of chef tutor Christophe Baffos with 15 in the restaurant under the direction of Dan Spraggs restaurant tutor and Sarah Gault bar supervisor."

To book tickets for the dinner, which cost £50 + VAT or £550 + VAT for a table of 12, or to donate a prize for the charity auction please telephone Charlotte Hockey on 01425 485040 or visit www.hotel-expo.co.uk.
