The Real Greek supports Action Against Hunger charity

The Real Greek restaurant group has teamed up with Action Against Hunger to encourage its diners to make a donation to the humanitarian charity by offering a 'guilt-free pudding'.

Diners can now order a £1.95 dessert from the menu knowing that they will be making a donation to the charity, which works in 43 of the world's poorest counties and dedicates itself to saving the lives of malnourished children.

Liz Williams, managing director explained her reasons behind supporting the scheme: "The Real Greek team wanted to give something back, as well as provide our customers with the opportunity to contribute to a worthwhile cause. Action Against Hunger and the wonderful work it carries out worldwide in fighting hunger and malnutrition is the perfect fit."

"We didn't want to go down the traditional route of having collection boxes in our restaurants, so we came up with the fun idea of offering a conceptual "guilt-free" pudding. It's "guilt-free" because you get to support a fantastic charity, whilst not gaining any calories!"

The "guilt-free" pudding is now available in all eight Real Greek restaurants, which can be found across London in Spitalfields, Westfield, Hoxton, Clerkenwell, Bankside, Putney, Marylebone and Covent Garden.

Jean-Michel Grand, Action Against Hunger's executive director, explained what this collaboration means to them: "We are extremely grateful to The Real Greek for supporting our work. Thanks to their commitment we can continue to save the lives of malnourished children in countries such as Liberia, Sudan and Nepal and provide families with the seeds, tools and support they need to build a sustainable future.
