Tootsies launch UK's first python curry

Tootsies restaurant in Richmond is serving up curry made from one of the world's most dangerous snakes to celebrate Halloween.

The eatery added the python curry to its menu from Monday (27 October) and will be available until 2 November.

Tracey Kitchener-Kemp, managing director of Tootsies, said: "It may sound like a trick but it's definitely a treat. Halloween is a great time of year to do something a little different, and we've had huge amounts of fun creating a dish that can be enjoyed by both our adult and junior guests alike."

She added: "We're always looking to be innovative with our menus and python is certainly the most original ingredient we have ever worked with. Those who dare to give it a go will be very pleasantly surprised."
