Top chefs go head to head in Great British Menu series

Midsummer House's Michelin starred chef Daniel Clifford will go head to head with Glynn Purnell from Purnell's in Birmingham to compete in the central heat of 'Great British Menu' on BBC2.

In this series the chefs will be competing to create a home coming banquet to honour men and women returning from active service in Afghanistan along with their families who have supported them.

Next Monday (30 March) Clifford and Purnell will create their starters, followed by a fish course on Tuesday, a main course on Wednesday, and pudding on Thursday. Friday will see judges including Prue Leith, Matthew Fort and Oliver Peyton cast their vote.

The Great British menu will take place on Monday 30 at 6.30pm.
