Treats beyond the coffee bean

The annual Caffe Culture show, which is kicking off in May, is a key date in the UK coffee industry calendar and is launching a range of new products which is set to take the show by storm.

Beyond the Bean (stand E20) will be launching the new Byron Bay limited edition strawberries & clotted cream cookies. The new limited edition cookie from will feature pieces of real English strawberries, rich clotted cream from dairies local to the UK bakehouse and chunks of premium European white chocolate.

There will also be a change to the line up of the sweetbird real fruit smoothies, with Caffe Culture showcasing the new apple and blackcurrant sweetbird real fruit smoothie. Those attending the show will be able to sample the new flavour of smoothie as well as the Byron Bay Limited cookies.

The show will also see the launch of sweetbird single origin chocolate sauce, one of the first of its kind in the UK. Using only Omanhene chocolate from community growers and producers in Ghana, who are committed to providing the best working environment for their staff and the local community. It's not just the cocoa that is grown in Ghana but all of the processing is also kept in Ghana, as this enables the community to develop new skills and produce a product which will gain a higher price on the cocoa market.

Gary McCann, sales and marketing director for Beyond the Bean, commented on the launch of these new products: "We are delighted to be able to launch the fantastic new Byron Bay Cookie and Sweetbird products at this year's Caffe Culture show. It is the show that the majority of people who are looking to be leaders in the coffee industry attend to see what is new and a must have product for their business. Even in these difficult trading conditions, there will be those businesses that will be looking for new and innovative products to make them stand out from the crowd."

One of the key speakers at this year's Allegra Strategies 'UK Coffee Leaders Summit' will be McCann, which is being held the day before Caffe Culture (Tuesday 19th May) at The Waldorf Hilton in London.
