Win a hamper of tea goodies!

CraftGuildofchefs.org has teamed up with specialist tea company Attic to bring one lucky reader a hamper packed full of goodies.

Attic was founded by Ric Vaughan-Davies and Anne Sheekey two years ago and they specialise in retail, online and whole-sale of imported loose leaf Chinese teas.

They have developed a 'One leaf, many lives' pure China tea package for cafes and restaurants that includes exotic oolong, pure white, anti oxidizing green, special aged pu-erh, flowering and black tea.

"Tea is fashionable again! People are ready for something different. After years – generations in fact - of contenting ourselves with one or two varieties of tea we are, as a nation, beginning to open ourselves up to the rich variety and diversity of tea," says Anne.

Attic's range has been designed with commercial distribution in mind. As well as the loose tea, it comes complete with a display unit, menu cards and storage jars, plus the option to purchase tea wares.

The company also offers training to help staff sell and serve loose leaf tea.

Turnover on tea can really boost a business' profits; an outlay of £192 for a half kilo of each of the six teas in the range is enough for approx 870 cups, which when sold at RRP £2.10 per cup rings in at the till at £1827.00.

The company currently supplies several cafes and restaurants in the south west and is looking to expand their operation by supplying spas, hotels, cafes and restaurants all over the country.

This competition has now closed.
