Elior UK Appoints Director of Corporate Communications

Alison & Paul

Elior UK has promoted Alison Aviss to the newly-created position of Director of Corporate Communications from September 2008.

Alison will be responsible for delivering a wide-ranging communications brief, covering internal and external communications with a specific focus on corporate social responsibility and will report to Director of Human Resources, Paul Reynolds. Alison was formerly Managing Director of the Marks & Spencer account at Elior UK and has been with the company for 13 years.

Alison will be supported by an internal team of six and will also work with Elior's external public relations consultancy Cohn & Wolfe who have a brief which covers trade PR, CSR, internal communications and thought leadership. The account is led by Cohn & Wolfe's Corporate Affairs Director, Lee Murgatroyd.

Paul Reynolds, HR Director, Elior UK said: "This position has been created to recognise the increasing need to manage at a senior level the strategic direction of corporate social responsibility, along with the tactical implementation of both internal and external communications and we believe Alison will make an extremely positive impact in this role."
