ViVAS appoints new general manager

ViVAS, the joint venture wine company formed by foodservice wholesaler 3663 First for Foodservice and Bibendum Wine, has appointed James Salmon to the newly created role of general manager.

James joins ViVAS after 13 years at Wells and Young's Brewing Company where he held various senior positions including Corona Extra brand controller and, most recently, head of sales operations.

"James comes to ViVAS with tremendous industry knowledge – and a clear appreciation of our target market," says Michael Saunders, managing director of Bibendum. "He also shares our view that ViVAS is incredibly well placed to deliver real value to our customers; as well as to 3663 and Bibendum."

Alex Fisher, managing director of 3663, adds: "As a sales strategist with 15 years drinks industry experience James brings a high level of both supply chain and market knowledge to the role making him perfectly placed to drive ViVAS forward into its second year of trading."
