Riverboat Trip

1st August 2010, Embarkation Time: Sail from Windsor at 1400 - Arrival Time: Windsor at 1900

ome join the Craft Guild of Chefs on their annual Riverboat Cruise down the Thames. There will be Champagne to greet you upon your arrival with music from a Steel Band to entertain and delight! The river boat will embark from Windsor Pier at 14.00 (2.00pm) and will be stopping at the Queens Eyot Island for a Pig roast with dessert & games. Families and friends are most welcome! The Thai Festival Kent is a outdoor celebration of Thai food, handicrafts, traditions and culture presented in a unique style with Fun Fair for all the family to take part in and enjoy.

Foodies at the Festival is one of the food events at the Edinburgh festival, serving up popular food and drink master classes.

Whisky Fringe

14th - 15th August 2010, Mansfield Traquair, Edinburgh

Scheduled to take place during the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe, the line-up of whisky distillers and bottlers includes Arran, Benriach, Bruichladdich, Macallan, Morrison Bowmore, Moet Hennessey and Old Pulteney. Visitors are simply given a nosing glass and a programme and helped to find their way through over 200 whiskies.

The Isle of Wight Garlic Festival

Chilli Fest

14th - 15th August 2010, Levens Hall, Kendal, Cumbria LA8 0PD

The Chilli Fest provides entertainment for all the family. Over forty stalls, some of which are new this year, will offer chilli-related goods such as jams, jellies, chocolate and sweets, ice-cream, sauces, seeds, plants, chutneys, clothing, breads, oils, cordials etc. Visitors will be able to sample foods from Mexico, Thailand, India, Morocco and Germany as well as many products from Cumbria, many of whom are going ‘hot’ for the occasion.
