National Wine Month has gone live with a development plan designed to recruit trade support and drive consumer communications under the creative platform ‘Make Time for Wine’.

Gearing up for competitions – Third Culinary Academy Workshop

6th May 2011 - 1pm, The Waterfront Hotel at Wyboston Lakes Conference and Training Centre

This workshop with Fergus Martin, Culinary Academy Team Manager and Executive Chef at Wyboston Lakes will focus on how to compete in order to create and perfect a menu. Planning, organisation, cooking skills and presentation will all come under the spotlight. A question and answer session will take place after the workshop and the principles of creating the perfect dish will again be reinforced. A DVD and handouts will also be available at the end of the day.

Craft Guild of Chefs study tour - Lockerbie Creamery

The National Chef of the Year 2011 - Entry Deadline

The Craft Guild of Chefs’ National Chef of the Year is open for all. The most respected and sought after culinary title, the National Chef of the Year is back for 2011, with the search now on to find the chef who has the ability and flair to walk away with this prestigious crown. The crème de la crème in the industry will meet in a live final to be held at the Restaurant Show at Earls Court, London, on Tuesday, October 11 2011.

Winnie Myers Traditional Afternoon Tea challenge - Final

14th May 2011, Westminster Kingsway College

The London Division of the Craft Guild of Chefs is offering young chefs the chance to compete to find the best traditional afternoon tea. The lucky chefs to reach this final will go head to head in a cook off. Prizes will be awarded for the top three places, and all the finalists will be presented with a certificate.

Hospitality Action Week 2011

Major Series 2011
