We have various types of membership available to ensure that we encompass every aspect of the food industry. We are very involved in the future development and training of the Chefs of tomorrow. The membership categories that we offer reflects this as they include: students, trainee chefs, and all grades of chefs from all the professional sectors.

Benefits of becoming a member of the Craft Guild of Chefs
Knowledge – each member receives a quarterly magazine with details of the latest developments and events. Each member has access to a wealth of ideas and reference through the committee, other members and the website.
Networking – mix with your peers and pick up new ideas, learn new ways of doing things – to help you and your business. Members are involved in judging, lecture demonstrations and advisory councils.
Training & Education – The guild will be supporting a number of training courses to help members sharpen their craft and business skills. Each member is mailed details and qualifies for a discount on the courses. The Guild works closely with many colleges and training schools.
Professionalism – All members must adhere to the Guild’s code of conduct to ensure each member adopts best practices in his profession.
Functions & Events – As a member you will receive privileged invitations to some of the industry’s top events and exhibitions. The Guild own and run the prestigious ‘Chef of the Year’ competitions, along with organising other competitions and events such as The Craft Guild of Chefs Awards. There are also opportunities to join the Guild Culinary Team and compete in competitions in the UK and abroad.

The Guild has arranged a number of membership discount schemes with certain suppliers. On joining you will receive full details and prices with discount details. This includes equipment, utensils, knives, workwear, tableware and subscription discounts to trade magazines. Many of the savings on offer more than cover the cost of membership.

The Guild has its own website which provides information to members on current events, competitions, recipes, chef news, discount schemes, training and education packages plus links to other sites of interest.

Dedicated Quarterly Magazine
Stockpot, the Guild’s quarterly magazine, provides means of communication between members. It carries industry and members’ news and views, details of social events, activities and training packages, competition results and topical articles on culinary issues. Member input is welcome.
Culinary Academy
The Craft Guild of Chefs’ Culinary Academy is your key to the world of culinary competitions. It offers support, mentorship and training opportunities for chef members wishing to become more involved in culinary competitions.
