Lyons Seafoods appoints new sales director

Lyons Seafoods, one of Europe’s leading processors of king prawns, has appointed Jonathan Hodgson as sales director.

Jonathan comes to Lyons Seafoods from international manufacturer of convenience foods and ingredients, Greencore, where he was commercial director of the cakes and desserts category.

His career also includes employment at Young's Seafood, Geest Plc and Asda.

Charles Dawson, managing director of Lyons Seafoods: "As a skilled sales director with over 22 years experience in the food and drink industry, Jonathan is perfectly placed to help develop our foodservice and retail business and drive sales. Jonathan has a proven track record of delivering growth, and given his past experience has a strong understanding of both the prawn and speciality seafood market and the food industry as a whole."

Speaking of his appointment Jonathan said: "Within the retail sector I have experience of working across the fresh, frozen and ambient sectors, and joining Lyons Seafoods gives me the opportunity to specialise in my chosen area of expertise.
