Record number of new exhibitors at SFFF

A record number of new exhibitors have signed up to take part in this year's Speciality & Fine Food Fair, which is being held at Olympia, London.

Exhibition director Toby Wand commented: "In spite of ongoing economic uncertainty we are expecting a record number of exhibitors at the show this year. We are hoping this will create an increase in footfall too, after welcoming over 7,000 key buyers through the doors from retail, foodservice, wholesale and distribution last year.

"We had already sold 85% of our show space by the middle of May, which is testament to the growing success of this show and the strength of the sector even in challenging times.

"The speciality food market is competitive and the most proactive businesses recognise that a presence at the market leading event represents the very best opportunity to showcase new products to the market which, after 10 very successful years, is why the show is still growing.

"So far, over a third of our exhibitors are new to the show this year, and we are expecting more. New exhibitors keep the exhibition fresh and progressive, allowing us to deliver a new offering to visitors to every year."

"We are very excited that Speciality & Fine Food Fair will be a more interactive experience than ever before in 2010 with the use of more digital platforms such as Twitter, Linked-in and our soon-to-be launched blog. We would urge visitors and exhibitors alike to tell us what they want to see and get out of the show on twitter and the Speciality & Fine Food Fair group on Linked-IN."

More than 7,289 key buyers from retail, foodservice, wholesale and distribution, attended in 2009 looking to source new products, gain inspiration and add a point of difference to their business.

The Speciality & Fine Food Fair 2010 takes place between 5th – 7th September.
