Blackpool restaurant wins top tourism award
The Blues Bar and Brasserie at the Big Blue Hotel in Blackpool has scooped a top award at the town's recent tourism awards, which acknowledge the crème de la crème of Blackpool's tourism industry.
The restaurant was honoured with the prestigious title of 'Taste of Blackpool', beating off tough competition from other hotels in the resort during a glittering ceremony hosted by North West Tonight's Ranvir Singh and The Independent's Travel Editor Simon Calder. Big Blue hotel general manager Martin Jackson, who collected the award with reservations manager, Tim Bailey, was delighted with the restaurants success: "I'm extremely pleased to have been awarded this accolade. "Much of the credit for this award goes to our staff, both in the kitchen and front of house, whose dedication and hard work ensures that the restaurant is such a success."
