The Craft Guild of Chefs golf day is ready for tee off

Written by: Admin
The Craft Guild of Chefs annual golf day is making a welcome return to Wyboston Lakes Golf Club in Bedfordshire on September 1.
The last time the event was held was way back in 2006 when it was a sell out, with more than 120 golfers teeing off, and the Craft Guild is hoping for a repeat performance. A host of fantastic prizes are up for grabs including a car for a hole in one, plus trophies for the longest drive and nearest to the pin, plus novelty awards. There will also be prizes for both teams and individuals. But the pièce de résistance will be the match between two teams of four from the Craft Guild of Chefs and the British Culinary Federation (BCF) to win the Mike Sullivan Memorial Trophy. The prize commemorates the former chef member of the Midlands Association of Chefs (MAC), an association that merged with the Chefs & Cooks Circle to form today's BCF. Craft Guild CEO Martin Bates said this year's dinner would be an "all British golfers themed casual dress event".

"In true Guild style, the whole day promises to offer enjoyment and excellent hospitality. However, there is a limited number of spaces and bookings will be taken on a first come, first served basis, so people need to book early," he added. • For further information, contact the Craft Guild on 0208 948 3870 or email [email protected]
