Craft Guild continues to support innovation

Written by: Admin
The Craft Guild of Chefs is adding its name to the Innovative Learning Materials Award at the PACE (Professional Association for Catering Education) Awards for Innovation. The winners will be announced during the PACE Conference & Exhibition gala dinner on March 24 2011 at the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool.
The awards are open to individuals, departments, schools, colleges and partnerships that have introduced innovative initiatives or activates over the past year. "There are so many ways today to increase learning. Everything from intranets, CDs and booklets to social networking sites and even downloads to portable games machines, all help to make learning innovative and interesting," said Martin Bates, CEO of the Craft Guild of Chefs. "The Craft Guild has sponsored this particular award because we wholeheartedly want to show our commitment to learning and development. Different methods work for different students. Embracing new and exciting technologies out there can be challenging, but it's a challenge we need to rise to, so that we support the next generation of chefs." The Craft Guild of Chefs is the largest UK chefs association, with members worldwide in foodservice and hospitality, from students and trainees to top management working everywhere from Michelin starred restaurants to school catering divisions.
