Guild member Len Unwin speaks to The Caterer about mental health

Written by: David Foad
Although, awareness campaigns seek to underline that anyone can be affected by mental health, society still has a preconception of who it impacts and why individuals suffer from the illness.

That was the message from Len Unwin, a lecturer at Sheffield City College and Mastercraftsman of the Craft Guild of Chefs. He had the support of a loving family, as well as a varied and interesting career, but still attempted to take his own life back in 2017.

He recently shared his story with The Caterer to encourage others to get the help they need.
