H&CS 2015 launches Craft Guild of Chefs Skills Masterclass

Written by: Admin
HCS 2015 is even more interactive this year with a brand new feature bringing leading chefs together to launch the Craft Guild of Chefs Skills Master Class.

An exciting line-up includes James Golding of multi-award winning The Pig Hotels, Gary Richmond from the acclaimed River Cottage Chef School in Devon, Dan Moon at Ston Easton Park Hotel in Somerset and Russell Brown from the Michelin Star Sienna Restaurant in Dorset.

Visitors will have the opportunity to get creative alongside top regional chefs, as each demonstrates their culinary skills during live, hands-on masterclasses.  The live events will be running at regular intervals over the two-day show.

Richard Joslin, Managing Director of Evisstar, the organisers of The Hotel & Catering Show commenting on this year’s new content said:  “The Craft Guild Master Classes are the perfect way for aspiring chefs to rub shoulders with some of the region’s most celebrated chefs and be able to take away practical skills to influence their own menus.”

Martin Bates, Chief Executive of the Craft Guild of Chefs said:  “We hope that the launch of the Skills Masterclass will prove to be a key addition to the show.  There are some great chefs lined up to inspire visitors to the show and the opportunity to have practical hands on experience should not be under-estimated.  Working together with the chefs, the Hotel and Catering Show and its visitors will be a significant calendar event for us during our 50th anniversary year.”

The Hotel & Catering Show 2015 will take place at the Bournemouth International Centre on the 17th and 18th March, and is considered by many in the industry to be the must-attend event in the South West of England.  Over 90% of its trade visitors come from the local region and are from the harder-to-reach independents in hotels, cafés, restaurants, pubs and delis.

As well as the Craft Guild of Chefs Skills Master Classes, this year sees the return of the Artisan Producers’ Market, where chefs from Hampshire and Dorset will run inspirational workshops and demos.

The organisers are also delighted to report that top regional companies including New Forest Ice Cream, Essential Cuisine, Hunts Foodservice, Continental Bakeries Ltd, Upham Brewery, Purbeck Cider Brewery, Western Marquees, Chunk of Devon and many more, are all on board.
