MCS Technical Products supplies equipment for student competitions at WorldSkills UK
WorldSkills UK is an apprenticeship and career event designed to help young people on the road to finding their chosen career. The event includes 230 employers, keynote speakers and exhibitions.
Steve Snow, managing director of MCS Technical Products, said: “We are pleased to support this initiative. With the chef skills shortage in the hospitality industry, it is important to encourage as many young people as possible to enter our industry.
“By supplying the latest catering equipment for the chef competitions, students will have the opportunity to learn about the benefits of induction. We wish them every success in the competition.”
Students at the chef competitions will have the opportunity to use the CookTek counter top twin unit induction hobs. Induction cooking is 90% energy efficient in comparison to a gas flame that is 30-50% efficient.
