New Disciples of Escoffier inducted during a inauguration ceremony
The University of West London’s Pillars Restaurant hosted a gathering of chefs, hospitality leaders and culinary ambassadors for the 2025 Disciples of Escoffier UK inauguration ceremony.
This event celebrated excellence in gastronomy, mentorship and the ongoing legacy of Auguste Escoffier. The evening began with a welcome speech from Michael Coaker, culinary ambassador for the University of West London.
The Disciples of Escoffier is a global culinary society dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of Auguste Escoffier, the pioneering French chef credited with modernising professional kitchen systems and elevating the culinary arts worldwide.
Each honouree stepped forward to receive their distinctive sash, alongside a certificate. The new inductees reflect the diversity and depth of the modern culinary profession. They include:
