New website for Bibendum
Bibendum restaurant on Fulham Road, London has given its website a complete makeover this month, allowing diners to make reservations on line.
The newly designed website www.bibendum.co.uk is packed with images and information about the history of the building, full details of menus and wine lists available, and glimpses of the restaurant, oyster bar, café and the crustacean stall.
Celebrating its 21st Birthday in November, the eatery is also offering a new cookbook devised by founding chef Simon Hopkinson and head chef Matthew Harris. Featuring over 40 recipes for Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer, Simon will be unveiling his top ten Bibendum classics. The cookbook will be available at the restaurant from Mid-August.
The establishment also picked up the award for the most consistently excellent restaurant at the Tatler Louis Roederer Restaurant Awards 2008.
Matthew Harris commented on their success: "Much has changed in Bibendum's 20-year history, but the original ethos of producing classic food using the best quality seasonal ingredients continues today. Consistent excellence is what every chef strives for – to be recognised for it by this award gives us great satisfaction."
Bibendum serves up Sunday dishes including Gloucester Old Sport Pork Chops, Steak Bearnaise, and Haddock and Chips. Average spend for a three course meal is £29.50.
