The Pearson's Arms launches in Kent

Written by: Admin
The newly refurbished pub, The Pearson's Arms by Richard Phillips, has officially opened its doors to the public in Whitstable.
The pub, which opened last week, now features an interior design which is more in keeping with the history of the town and draws inspiration from its beach location and the town's rich heritage. The venture also features a brand new menu from Phillips that focuses on Kent food and drink, including a range of Kentish cheeses, prime local meat and produce, local and UK brewed beers and wines. Phillips said: "Our menu celebrates the rich diversity of the county. We are producing great tasting uncomplicated food and a menu which will change with the seasons." He continued: "Our emphasis is based on simplicity and honesty in our food and drink offering, and this is reflected in the fantastic interior design. We wanted to bring back a sense of location and place within the pub. We want people to feel comfortable when they enter and I believe we have created a space that achieves that." Interior design consultant, Ken Roscoe from Lister Carter said: "The disruption caused by the snow meant a few late nights but we were determined to bring the job in on time for Richard."
