Sheffield restaurant gets surprise visit

Written by: Admin
Michelin starred Celebrity Chef, Gordon Ramsay, enjoyed a relaxing break between filming in Sheffield at Italian restaurant, Nonna's.
Whilst filming in the local area, Gordon decided to take lunch at Nonna's, to the delight of fellow diners. Enjoying a lunchtime dish of Chicken Caesar salad, Gordon also helped his fellow diners finish their lunches of Tuscan bean soup, Squid and zucchini Tagliatelle pasta and a squash and amaretti ravioli. The restaurant said that Gordon thoroughly enjoyed his lunch and had only praise for the 12 year old restaurant and general manager Daniel Jackson. Daniel was not expecting Gordon and his team to eat; however: "When they asked for a table for 6 people, it was a shock as we had a very busy lunch and were nearly full!He had a great meal with fantastic service, which is what we are renowned for and why we remain busy even after 12 years and why we continue to win accolades and awards. Daniel added: "I did offer him the opportunity to sit alongside Jamie Oliver on our wall, who enjoyed his meal in 2005 so much, he sent signed pictures afterwards. The idea didn't go down well, we won't be expecting one soon, but we are huge fans of his work and are privileged he paid us a visit."
