Slow Food UK to host chocolate tasting event
As part of Slow Food Month, Academy of Chocolate board member Simon Wright is hosting an online tasting session on terroir and chocolates from around the world.
The world tour will include chocolates from Ecuador, Peru, Madagascar, Venezuela and Uganda. The interactive tasting event will take place on 9 October at 3pm.
The tasting event will start with a short presentation by Wright who will explain where the cocoa grows and how it is made into chocolate.
Then you will taste the five bars of chocolate in an interactive tasting session and if time permits there will be a Q&A with Wright where you can ask your chocolate related questions.
To take part you will need to visit a Sainsbury’s store and buy their ‘Taste The Difference’ Single Origin Bars (£1.45 for 100g).
