The eight teams in with the chance of winning the prestigious title are:

• City of Glasgow College
• Kendal College
• Loughborough College
• Colleg Llandrillo (Wales)
• North Warwickshire & South Leicester College
• Senara Restaurant at Penwith College
• The Tickled Trout at Barlow
• Westminster Kingsway College

They will now go head-to-head in front of guest judge, 2 Michelin-starred Portuguese chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, with the winner to be announced during the Skills for Chefs Gala Dinner (11 July).

Competition director David McKown said: "We are delighted that Henrique will be judging this year’s grand final in Sheffield.

“Our theme this year is Portuguese gastronomy and our overall winners will embark on a an exciting study tour to Lisbon.”
