YO! Sushi diners to cook through Nintendo DS
Japanese restaurant group YO! Sushi is introducing a cooking game – Cooking Mama 2 – which allows diners to create recipes and dishes on a Nintendo DS from next Monday (14 April).
Available via YO! Sushi's conveyor belt, the consoles will be accessible for the duration of diners' meals with the option of playing in multiplayer mode.
Cooking Mama also allows sushi chefs to challenge each other wirelessly over the restaurant floor.
The initiative will be available to customers in two London branches, YO! Farringdon and YO! Soho, and is set to roll out to the chain's other 30 UK restaurants.
Cooking Mama 2 will allow players to chop, slice, dice, fry, grate and roll ingredients using the DS stylus. Players of any age or skill level can play the game.
My Ly, marketing manager for YO! Sushi, said: "As well as offering delicious and healthy Japanese inspired dishes, we are always looking to provide something extra for our customers. This is a perfect way in adding value to their dining experience – interactively slicing and dicing alongside our expert sushi chefs."
